Skatelite Gives Us a Look at Orchid Park

And we hope to get a firsthand look someday

Skatelite is proud of the work they do in providing material to skateparks. Sure, when they are taking you on a tour of a park they furnished, there is an ulterior motive there. That doesn’t mean the park can’t be cool, or the work they’ve done isn’t impressive. They also usually manage to get some fun skaters to go along for the ride, making their videos more than worthwhile. That’s definitely true of Skatelite’s trip to Goleta, California, where they give us a tour of Orchid Skatepark.

Orchid is one of the prettier skateparks we can remember, and Skatelite admittedly played a big role in that. It’s got indoor and outdoor spots and over a mile of restricted beach access to boot. While it’s a private park, they do a lot of cool stuff there. They offer lessons and have camps for kids with special needs and plenty of other cool stuff. They also had a couple of notable skaters in Chris Hiett and David Dixon stop by, at Skatelite’s behest, to show off their skills while they show off the park. We have to admit, we’re a little jealous, but we’ve still happy to be able to watch the video above.
